What You ll Do

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the expert in maintaining the plant facilities and services. You will be part of a dynamic team who provides back-up to operations supervision. Other duties will include:

  • Manages the maintenance of the plant rail system, truck and rail scales, roadways, security fences, underground utility lines, camera system and associated equipment.
  • Manages the maintenance of the plant grounds, weed spraying, mowing, and associated equipment.
  • Manages the maintenance of the plant buildings where the work requires outside contractors to complete the task(s)
  • Manages the necessary painting throughout the plant.
  • Completes daily rail car placement report, production reports, inventory reports, and associated documentation.
  • Completes permits for Hot Work, Excavation and Confined Space.
  • Provides vacation or illness back-up to production supervisors.
  • Provides field supervision assistance and provides supervision assistance with contractors during plant shutdowns or other maintenance activities.
  • Interface with Operations and Maintenance to assure the accuracy and completeness of task design and installation.
  • Solves problems utilizing Problem Solving Tools per the Key Performance Indicators (KPI s), such as Safety, Environmental, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Engagement.
  • Determines and implements methods to improve the Key Performance Indicators, utilizing Focused Improvement Tools
  • Communicate clear, concise instructions to the Operations Team, while also encouraging empowerment and operators being self-directed
  • Oversee the training program for new and current employees focused on Training Manuals, SOP s and other methods of training
  • Responsible for the identification, tracking in SHAERS and investigation of all hazards, near misses and incident in area of responsibility
  • Conducting and supporting Safety, Environmental and BEx Gambas
  • Following the Management of Change (MOC) Process, including the MOC electronic database system, Cintellate
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned

What We re Looking For:

  • Requires a HS degree or GED
  • Minimum of four years plant operations or maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, symbols, materials, and standards.
  • Ability to use computers and other office equipment.
  • Qualified to issue work permits including hot work
  • Qualified to issue Excavation permits
  • Qualified to issue Confined Space Permits
  • Qualified to conduct and participate in Job Safety Analysis
  • Qualified to develop, write and manage minor CAPEX projects (<$50K)
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
