Manager, Imaging Services

My client is a 1300 bed, Magnet, academic medical center, and ranked as one of the nation's top 10 hospitals by U.
News & World Report.
My client pioneered many radiological milestones including work on 3-D treatment planning for cancer, and remains at the forefront of radiology technology, research and innovation.
In fact, their radiology department is regarded as one of the top 5 in the nation, and performs over 350,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually with over $650MM in gross revenue.
This is an opportunity to join a very dynamic team at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country.
Reporting to Administrative Director, Imaging Services the Manager will be responsible for the performance and operations of assigned areas.
The department has 330 FTEs at 2 locations.
The Manager will be responsible for between 75-110 FTEs and multiple Supervisors.
Looking for an enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude, and key managerial traits.
Prefer experience at an academic or teaching hospital or large community hospital.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to:
hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Monitors and organizes department resources to maximize productivity and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Serves as liaison between staff and physicians.
Evaluates the care and testing delivered and intervenes appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals.
This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Qualifications-Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology-Master's required.
ARRT Certification.
-3+ radiology management or radiology leadership - recent experience in inpatient/trauma center/teaching hospital-Project a professional image.
Relates to all kinds of people.
Builds appropriate rapport.
Builds constructive and effective relationships.
Able to deliver messages/opinions tactfully.
Able to diffuse high tension situations comfortably.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
