Software QA Engineer - Junior

The Software QA Engineer provides support and testing capabilities to the product development team. This role will define, create, and maintain test plans and strategies for existing and new products with various levels of complexity.
Job Description:
Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution. Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution. Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software quality assurance organization. Work in an agile environment collaborating with the team to deliver quality software iteratively Write automation tests for our cloud-based API platform Automate testing of new features and add to the existing set of regression tests Clearly document, manage, and prioritize defects from multiple sources Assist in the operation of the service, e.g. monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging and troubleshooting Pair with software engineers to triage issues and identify the root causes proactive Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, quality engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes. Evaluating forms and processes for software testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in overall architecture and software design for products and solutions. Experience with design and integration of software running on multiple platform types. Experience working in an agile environment. High attention to detail and process.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
